New Challenge over at the Stamp Man Challenge blog

Today I have the honor of hosting the fortnightly challenge over at The Stamp Man Challenge blog. I am so excited to be part of such an amazing team. This fortnights challenge theme is "Butterflies and Dragonflies" So I chose to make a little Butterfly house.

My material list is below. The house itself is made from clear acetate. I stamped the Aspects of design Christmas mesh stamp on it using Stazon Black, then cut out the door and edged it with gold foil. The door is hinged with 2 small gold jump rings. The top decorative part is made from card strips punched with the Fiskars border punch and then coated in gold foil. They are then edged around the top and bottom. 2 circles of card make up the top and bottom and are then covered with gold fiber paper. the chain is added from a bit of old jewelry and the ribbon is coloured with pink Promarker and then stamped with the words from the "On Gossamer wings Aspect of Design stamps". The Butterflies and Dragonflies are stamped onto Vellum and embossed with clear or Moonglow Angel wings EP then coloured with Promarkers. They are then cut out and the antenna are added before they are put into place around the cage. The flowers are made by running vellum through a big shot with Tim Holtz Tattered floral Die. They are then coloured with Promarkers and scrunched into place with fancy fasteners. Here is a closeup of the inside of the cage.
I love how it came out and the butterflies are somewhat translucent with the vellum. Has that inspired you for the challenge yet? You can view the rest of my team mates wonderful projects and inspirations over at The stamp Man Challenge Blog here. You can also enter your own creation there as well as check out the Challenge rules. We cannot wait to see all the wonderful projects you come up with this time. And of course don''t forget that The Stamp Man has a prize of a £10 gift voucher for the Stamp Man shop up for grabs as well as top 5 badges.

Gold filament paper
Gold foil
Promarkers
chain
Twill
Stazon black ink

Well done on your DT call up. Great theme to play with. Love what you've created, very inspirational.

Will be over later to have a go. I do have a bit of a problem though, I only have one butterfly stamp. Think I might have to rectify that - lol.
